PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Spring is officially here! We are excited about the warmer weather coming and all of the fun learning activities we have planned for the remainder of the school year. Our goal is to continue to incorporate as many of our spring activities for the month of April and May for our students while providing them with a high quality education. We are planning on having our Dance Tryouts, Glow Party, Field Day, Movie Day, grade level and specialty field trips, AR Celebration, Career Day, PBIS Water Day, and our school-wide Ice Cream Social. We will keep you posted on dates and event details through our newsletter, school-wide text messages, and your child’s VIP. I am thrilled that we will be able to host these fun events for our students. It’s going to be an incredible rest of the school year!
Thank you to all of our teachers and support staff that are working hard everyday to make sure that our students’ educational, social, emotional, and behavorial needs are being met. A shout out to our teachers and support staff that are working in our After School Tutoring program for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students. We have 2 sessions remaining. I am proud of our students for persevering and working so hard during and after school. I know this extra time of concentrated instruction and learning after school will support their academic goals.
On April 22nd we will begin our GA Milestones Testing week. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will participate in the areas of Reading, Language, Math, and Science (5th Grade Only). Our students have made great gains throughout the year, and we are looking forward to seeing the outcomes to these tests and the positive growth of our students.
Thank you for all of your support for our APEX Fundraiser. We met our school goal! Thank you for your generosity and willingness to give to our students and school. We appreciate each of you.
BUILDING UPDATE: We are happy to announce that on Thursday, April 18th @ 1:00 PM we will have our Groundbreaking Ceremony for Phase 1 of our new building. Our staff and students are excited and can't wait to see the new edition in the future.
