Principal's Message

HAPPY NEW YEAR! It’s hard to believe it’s 2021. Time sure does fly and so has this school year. I hope that everyone enjoyed their holiday along with their winter break and had lots of opportunities to rest and spend quality time with your family. It truly is a miracle that we made it through this year and an entire semester with our students. I know that most of us are glad that the year is over and a new year is beginning. I never thought when I decided to have our new year’s theme as “The Best is Yet to Come” for 2020 that we would end up in a pandemic and endure all that we have with covid-19. It has been one interesting ride for all of us for sure. Thank you for all of your help and support this school year. I appreciate our students, staff, parents, PTO, and Business Partners. You all have handled this year with such grace and love. I don’t know what’s to come in the new year, but my prayer for our staff, students, and parents is that we continue to stay safe and healthy and that we can return to some sort of normalcy at school and in our personal lives. January is a time of reflection and new beginnings. A time to look back and see what we were able to accomplish but also a time to set new goals and move forward in a positive direction. I encourage each of you to take time to reflect and then set new goals that you would like to meet for the remainder of the school year. Talk to your child about what goals they would like to accomplish and help them take steps in that directions. Share your goals with someone. Together we can accomplish our goals and make great things happen for our own personal lives and our students’ lives in 2021. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Angel Tree in December. Due to your generosity, we were able to supply for the needs of 17 Boynton families. We appreciate you! Congratulations to our 4th & 5th Grade Spelling Bee contestants. These students represented their classroom in our school Spelling Bee. 4 th Grade: Lyla Smith, Jocelyn Pursley, Ada Brock, Reed Stoker, Lucy Womack, Ava Murdock, Beau Pattison, and Gemma Bowen. 5th Grade: Van Norman, Scarlet Rusk, Eli Ashkenazi, Aubrey Hoover, Alexander Cordle, Jack Philips, Peyton Wilson, Henry Nance, Jacob Bryant, and Caleb Underwood. Congratulations to Beau Pattison and Aubrey Hoover. They came in 2nd place for 4th & 5th Grade. Congratulations to Ava Murdock and Jack Philips. These students came in 1st place and will move on to participate in our County Spelling Bee on February 2nd. I am so very proud of all of our students! Reminders: * Please make sure that your child brings a mask to school. If you do not have one or forget, we have extras in the office. * Please make sure that your child charges their IPad/Chromebook nightly. It is important that they are prepared for the following day. Thank you for your help with this.
