PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
It is hard to believe that March is already here. It won’t be long until the warm weather arrives, and we are busy with all of our Spring activities. Being a principal is an incredible honor and a deeply rewarding experience. I feel immensely fortunate to lead such a dedicated and passionate team of educators who are committed to nurturing the growth and development of each student. Witnessing their creativity, resilience, and unwavering support for our children is truly inspiring.
Furthermore, the energy and enthusiasm of our students make every day an adventure. Their curiosity, unique perspectives, and eagerness to learn create a vibrant and dynamic school environment. Also, the partnership we share with our families is invaluable. Your involvement, support, and belief in our mission create a strong foundation for student success. To be a part of this collaborative effort, working alongside teachers, support staff, students, and families to build a positive and enriching learning community, is a privilege I cherish. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students and staff and to serve this remarkable school. I am the luckiest principal!
I want to personally thank all of our parents for your support during our Strawberry Fundraiser. We sold 512 flats this year. This was a great year of sales! Congratulations to Travis Azbill, Ayvah Foster, Sutton Stone, Hadleigh Clark, and Nolan Stoker. Travis Azbill won the 1st place prize of $100, Ayvah Foster and Sutton Stone tied and won the 2nd place prize of $50 each, and Hadleigh Clark and Nolan Stoker tied and won the 3rd place prize of $25 each. The classes that sold the most flats were Cathey, McKinney, Thacker, Owens, Hodge, Pattison, and Craven. These classes won the 1 hour playtime in the 55 ft. inflatable.
This month I would like to recognize our GA Young Authors Writing Competition school level winners. CONGRATULATIONS to Weston Parton, Abigail Miller, Dallin Hale, Anniston Parton, and Ellis Keck. These students won our school level writing competition and moved on to the county level competition. CONGRATULATIONS to Weston Parton, Dallin Hale, and Ellis Keck! These students won the writing competition at the county level and are moving on to the RESA level with an opportunity to move on to state. I am so very proud of these students!
Last month I mentioned that we would have our APEX Fun Run Fundraiser. This fundraiser officially started on Wednesday, February 26th. Students had a pep rally on February 25th and received all the important information they needed to bring home to their parents. We need all of our students to collect pledges during the fundraiser for the Fun Run that will be held on Thursday, March 6th. This is going to be an exciting 2 weeks for our students. The APEX team will be here daily to present character lessons to our students and encourage them to be their best. Our students love the APEX team and all of the fun activities and excitement they bring to the school. Our goal is to raise $30,000.
