Happy Fall! It’s hard to believe that we are already into the month of October. This year is moving quickly. October 6th will mark the end of the first nine-week grading period. Report cards will go home on Tuesday, October 24th. If your child’s report card does not reflect the grades that are expected, please contact your child’s teacher to request a phone conference or Google Meet to discuss ways to assist your child in being successful at school. We are here to support our students and parents and want to answer any questions you may have about your child’s academics, growth, and well-being.

Charter Budget News: At the end of last year, our Local School Governance Team (LSGT) approved using our FY24 Charter Funds to keep our STEM teacher, Mr. Shoelen. The STEM teacher supports our students and their learning through integrating and applying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematical concepts (STEM) within the K-5 grade level curriculum. Mr. Shoelen is doing an incredible job connecting with our students and providing them with hands-on learning experiences. The goal of the STEM lab is to promote student collaboration and exploratory learning which will build our students’ ability to develop thinking, reasoning, investigative, and creative skills so they can function and thrive in our highly technological world. Please read the STEM NEWS section at the end of our newsletter to see what has been happening in the lab since school started, how you can help, or volunteer. I am looking forward to all of the awesome learning experiences our students will receive this school year.
